Description

Amalfi Semiconductor is seeking an experienced Director of RFIC Engineering in the development of cutting-edge RFIC designs.  In this role you will be responsible for working in a multi-disciplined environment while leading a small team of RFIC designers in the specification, design, development and test of critical circuit blocks in the company's innovative RFIC products.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading a team of RFIC designers
• Working with other senior members of a multi-disciplined team in estimating tasks, identifying risks, developing RFIC products and planning verification strategies
• Leading the specification, design and test strategy for critical blocks, and supporting/contributing to layout activities
• Recommending, evolving and enforcing development methodology consistent with the needs of the organization
• Participating in system, specification, design, and layout reviews

Specific Qualifications Include:

• 10+ years experience in RFIC design, 5+ years experience as a manager/lead for multiple RFIC products
• Well-rounded experience in designing various RFIC circuits, such as variable gain amplifiers, LNA's, mixers. PA's, VCO's, bias circuits and miscellaneous analog circuits
• Solid foundatin in device matching, loop stability, layout techniques and parasitic extraction
• Familiar with CMOS IC design
• Familiar with Cadence and ADS tools flow
• Experience with on-chip, package, and off-chip parasitic and design issues
• Experience in leading IC/RFIC/block characterization strategies; knowledgeable in RF board design issues
• Knowledge of RF testing required
• Strong communication skills, demonstrated success in working with and mentoring multi-disciplined teams
• Proven ability to set and meet development milestones
• A self-starter and strategic thinker, with demonstrated success in a small company environment
