Description

The Director of Quality Assurance and Reliability will be the executive responsible for enhancing and ensuring compliance to Amalfi's quality systems, reporting to the Vice President of Operations.  In this role he/she will lead the activities of customer quality engineering, quality assurance, compliance of outsourced manufacturing sites and product reliability.  This executive will be expected to be very "hands on" in helping to resolve problems and issues, while striving for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Lead the Quality Assurance and Reliability organization for all Amalfi CMOS products
• Interface with customers in support of satisfying all applicable product qualification requirements
• Recommend and qualify suppliers for materials to manage supplier quality
• Interface with the outsourced manufacturing locations on all quality related issues
• Responsible for all applicable Failure Analysis
• Lead cross-supply chain technical teams including Packaging engineering, Foundry engineering and Test engineering to provide a complete quality solution

Specific Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Bachelors Degree in EE, Masters or PhD preferred
• 10 to 15 years experience in semiconductor industry, including experience with "Tier 1" customers specifically in the cellular handset space
• Hands on leader with extensive experience in the cellular industry and semiconductor companies.  PA experience a plus
• Ability to build, develop and inspire a high performance Quality Team
• Strong knowledge of quality and reliability methodology, product life cycle, and failure analysis
• Experience with small die flip chip assembly preferred
• Ability to create and present high-level presentations to present  customer related issues
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated success in meeting design deadlines
• A self-starter and team-player, with demonstrated success in a small company environment
